It is an abbreviation of Deutsches Institut fur Normung- German Certification Institute. Alike ISO, DIN is a token of quality used in almost every field of production and technologies. As to steel products it is accepted that DIN certificated production is usually denser, heavier and with higher quality than the GOST one. |
